Installed in mid-2024 for Woolworths via AGL, the Yass solar canopy was designed EV-ready from day one. Conduit was pre-installed during the original build, allowing charging infrastructure to be added seamlessly just six months later — with no rework, no disruption, and no additional civil works.
Positioned on the major highway linking Sydney and Melbourne, the site serves one of Australia's busiest regional transport corridors. Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive — EV drivers appreciate the convenience of charging while protected from the elements, with shade in summer and shelter year-round.
